Internet poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players are given 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a figure on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pays out money equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
