Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players receive 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus a sum in accordance with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The bank pays chips even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
