Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in an awesome game for early level gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers play with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, starting players do not need to worry about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers taking their money.
A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game pace, novices can take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty decisions.
It is also easier to gamble on for a long time with only a small bit of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the houses.
